Author Biography
Mykhailo Bozhii (1911-1990) is a Ukrainian painter. He was born in Mykolaiv. He studied at the Mykolaiv Art Technical School (1930-1933). He worked in all genres of painting. Was awarded the State Prize of the Ukrainian SSR named after T.G. Shevchenko (1974). A recognized classic of socialist realism. Portrait master. People's Artist of the USSR (1963), full member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1962).
