CLASSIC & CONTEMPORARY ART
From December 7 to 17, 2022, auctions of collectible classical and contemporary art will be held in the hall of the Goldens auction house.
The auction collection included 31 works by famous Ukrainian artists, including bright representatives of the classical school of painting, emigrant artists, famous contemporary artists and sixties artists. Among the works that will be presented during the auction, there are many rare museum-level works that have been kept in private collections for years and have not been exhibited.
The CLASSIC & CONTEMPORARY ART pre-auction exhibition and silent auction will begin on December 7. The exhibition can be visited until December 17 inclusive. Bids for lots are accepted in the silent auction mode in the exhibition hall and on the website www.gs-art.com in the online catalog of the 53rd auction. The final bidding of the auction will be held on December 17 (Saturday) during the day, and at 18:00 on December 17, bidding for lots will be closed at the last current bid. In the last minutes, the automatic "anti-sniper" system works, which adds 5 minutes to the next bet.
Among the TOP lots of the auction is the work that adorned the cover of the current auction catalog, the repeatedly published landscape of the "Klimt" period by Viktor Zaretsky "Behind the forest - music" (1985). Also adorning the auction collection is the unparalleled work of the famous Ukrainian classical landscape painter Serhii Svitoslavskyi "Halyavin", which was created back in 1900 in an impressionistic manner and took part in several iconic exhibitions of classical art. A rare find for collectors - a large-format early still life by Mykola Hlushchenko "Peonies" (1950-1953); the bright and cheerful landscape of the famous Transcarpathian Fedir Manaylo "Rainbow" (1945 - 1966); "Still Life by the Window" (1950s) by the world-famous Ukrainian cubo-futurist artist Davyd Burlyuk and Maria Prymachenko's fantastic story with animals "Svatanya Soroka iz Lysom" (1991).
Other notable works for which it is possible to compete: Serhii Shishko "Early Spring in the Carpathians" (1953), Ivan Trush "Landscape with Cypresses" (1920s), Felix Vygzhivalskyi "Sunset" (1931), Andriy Kotska "Uzhok" ( 1930s), Mykola Maksimenko "Summer. Tripillia" (1992), Oleksiy Shovkunenko "Kyiv landscape" (1960s), Adalbert Boretskyi "Still life. Flowers" (1970s), Petro Sulymenko "In the city. Near the ancient walls" (1974).
Among the works of famous sixties artists, the pearl of the auction can be called "Image", 1965 by Hryhoriya Havrylenko. The work with exceptional provenance and gift signature was created in the watercolor technique, and represents the personification of purity and tenderness, this is the female image that Gavrylenko worked on throughout his career.
In the block of modern art, it is worth noting Arsen Savadov's photo from the series "Drowning Man's Diary" (2014), "Still Life with a Clock" (2006) by Ihor Melnychuk, "Light" (2022) by Anton Logov, Oleksandr Glyadyelov's photo "In the family-type orphanage of the Martynenko family . Odesa" (2001), as well as the sculptures of Oleksandr Sukholit "Pieta" (2022), Mykyta Kalchenko's "Giraffe" (2000), Yuri Bagalika's "Kiss of Judas" (1990).
As part of the "RANA UA" charity art project, Anatoly Kryvolap's work "Evening Sky" (2012-2016), provided personally by the author, will be put up for auction.
