Yuri Skandakov (1932-2007) is a Ukrainian artist. He was born in the village of Khalizovo, Orenburg region, Russia. Together with his family he moved to Stryy, Lviv region (1947). He studied at the Lviv School of Applied Arts. Trusha (1951-1959), Lviv State Institute (1959-1965). He worked as a set designer at the Lviv Drama Theater (1959), as a fashion designer at the Lviv House of Models (1961-1964), as a designer at the Lviv Bus Plant (1964-1965), and at the Bureau of Technical Aesthetics at the Lviv Television Plant (1965-1969). He taught at the Lviv School of Applied Arts (1969). Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1985). He participated in international exhibitions. He lived and worked in Lviv.
