Author Biography
Bazyliev Serhii (born 1952) is a Ukrainian painter. Born in Kiev. Graduated from Kyiv Art Institute (1977), where he remained to teach (until 1982). Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1979). He won the second prize at the contest of young artists of the USSR and USSR "Our contemporary" (1984). Moved to Moscow (1984). One of the first hyper-realists of the former USSR. Personal exhibitions took place in Moscow (1992-1994, 1996-1999) and St. Petersburg (1993). The works are stored in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Sevastopol Museum of Fine Arts, the Children's Fund of Madrid, the Museum of V. Bischoff (Stuttgart, Germany).
