Nicolai CIKOVSKY (1894-1984) is a Russian and American artist. Born near Minsk. A close friend of the artist D. Burliuk. Emigrated to the United States (1923). Participated in the Salon of the Independents in Paris (1924). From the 1930s, he actively held personal exhibitions (about 20). He taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cincinnati, the Chicago Art Institute, and the Corcoran School. Member of National Academy of Fine Arts, National Academy of Design, Community of painters, sculptors, engravers. Works by Tsikovskii are at the Whitney Museum, Brooklyn Museum, Los Angeles, Boston, and Pittsburgh museums.
