Biography
Ivan Leontiyovych Shapoval (1939-2023) - Ukrainian artist. Born in Dneprodzerzhinsk, Dnipropetrovsk region. Graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk Art School (1967) and the Kharkiv Art and Industrial Institute (1973). Works in the field of easel painting. Studied with G. Chernyavsky, A. Konstantinopolsky, O. Martynets. Active participant in regional, republican and foreign exhibitions (since 1972). Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1988). Lived and worked in Sumy.
