Biography
Mykyta Volodymyr (born 1931) is a Transcarpathian painter. He graduated from Uzhhorod Art College (1950), where he studied under A. Erdeli, Y. Bokshai, and F. Manailo. Works in the field of easel painting. Participates in republican (since 1957), all-Union (since 1961), foreign (since 1966) exhibitions. Current corresponding member of Art Academyof Ukraine. People's Artist of Ukraine. Winner of the Shevchenko Prize for the artistic series "Native Land" (2005). Awarded the Gold Medal of the Academy of Arts of Ukraine (2006). Awarded the Order of Yaroslav the Wise V and IV degrees (2006, 2011).
