Biography
Varennia Mykola (1942-2021) was a Ukrainian painter and graphic artist. He was born in Popasna, Luhansk region. He graduated from the Kyiv Art Institute (1971), where he studied under V. Puzyrykov. Member of the National Union of Artists (since 1977), participant of numerous art exhibitions. He lives and works in Ivano-Frankivsk. Honoured Artist of the USSR. He has been teaching (since 1952) at the Kosiv School of Decorative and Applied Arts, Ivano-Frankivsk Children's Art School, and the Carpathian University named after V. Stefanyk. The artist's works are kept in museums of Ukraine and private collections in Europe.
