Biography
Sukhorukykh Anatolii Ivanovych (1935-2015) was a Ukrainian painter. He was born in Novocherkassk, Russia. He graduated from the Crimean Art School (1960) and Kharkiv State Art Institute (1966). Teachers in the specialty - O. Khmelnytsky, A. Konstantinopolsky. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1973). Honored Artist of Ukraine (1998). Member of the management of the Crimean organization of the NUAU. Participant of numerous republican, all-Union and international exhibitions. People's Artist of Ukraine (since 2009). He was awarded the gold medal of the Presidium of the Academy of Arts of Ukraine (2006). He lived and worked in Sevastopol, where he was called the “father of plein air”.
