Biography
Myronenko Vasyl (1910-1964) was a Ukrainian Soviet graphic artist. One of the best etchers of the Ukrainian SSR. He studied at the Kharkiv Art Institute (1931-1936). Teacher at the Kharkiv Art and Industrial Institute, head of the graphics department. He studied with the graphic artist V. Kasiyan. Since 1932 - a participant in republican, all-Union and foreign exhibitions. His personal exhibitions were held in Kharkiv (1940, 1944, 1954, 1975), Moscow (1946), Sumy (1953), Kyiv (1958). Professor (since 1961), People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (since 1963). The main theme of the artist's work was the landscape. The works of V. Mironenko are kept in the National Art Museum of Ukraine, Kharkiv Art Museum, as well as other museums of Ukraine and private collections.
