Biography
Tatiana Loguine (1904-1993) - Russian and French artist. Born in Sevastopol in a noble family close to V. Karazin. She moved to Paris (1920), where she studied chemistry and received her engineering degree (1923). She studied art in Lyon and T. Sukhotina-Tolstoy's Russian Academy in Paris, after which she joined a group of artists who continued their studies on their own (B. Belousovich, L. Uspensky, G. Krug). The formation of Lugin as an artist was influenced by the works of R. Bissier, R. Delone and A. Lot. She studied with N. Goncharova (1930s) and had a close relationship with the Goncharov-Larion couple. The artist painted the impressionistic landscapes of Provence, portraits, still lifes, nude nature and abstract compositions. It has been exhibited at the Independent Salon, in Tuileries, at exhibitions in Paris, Lyon, Arles, Grassi, and Trouville. There were two personal exhibitions in Paris and Stockholm (both 1973). The works of the artist are presented in the museums of Saint-Germain-en-les-Gracie, Saint-Pierre in Lyon and the National Literary Museum named after. I. Turgenev in Orel.
